Through collaborative energy industry efforts, we strive to
evolve flowback solutions by capitalizing on modernization, automation, efficiency, and environmental consciousness.
AutoSep Technologies is a new oilfield service company providing step change improvement to conventional flowback operations.
As a joint venture established in 2024 between CNX and Deep Well Services, AutoSep Technologies’ main goal is to provide an automated flowback system for modern, high rate, and erosive unconventional shale wells. Our new, highly compact system can be deployed in a fraction of the time and requires less labor, while reducing costs, improving safety, and lowering the environmental impact associated with conventional flowback operations.
Each year 20,000 wells are flowed back in the United States, and 60,000 wells are flowed back globally. Compared to the advancements in drilling and completion, flowback operations have remained largely unchanged as they continue to be costly, labor-intensive, and prone to
methane emissions.
AutoSep Technologies aims to upend the status quo.
Our Automated Control Units (ACUs) allow for a fully sealed
flowback that effectively eliminates methane emissions,
including during sand trap blowdowns.

Ricky Molla, leading our Operations team, holds 14 years of production and completion operations expertise. Molla’s initiative in his previous Supervisor roles at Colter and CNX solidified his own dedication to fostering safe, efficient, and innovative operations on and off-site.
In his role, Molla is dedicated to delivering safe and efficient results. His commitment is built on trust, reliability, and automation, ensuring our operations are conducted with the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
Off the job, Ricky loves spending time with his 2 kids, constantly learning, and keeping up with the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns on the weekends.
Ricky has been a unifying leader and resource in the development of AutoSep Technologies, and we are grateful to have his knowledge in Operations to enhance our ever-growing team!

Born and raised on the North Shore of Erie, PA, in Appalachia, Dustin Phillips brings nearly 18 years of knowledge and expertise under his belt within the oil & gas industry. From Flowback in the Rocky Mountains, Wyoming, and Utah to high-pressure and condensate experience from the Piceance Basin to the Utica Shale, he’s ready to guide your team into the Future of Flowback.
In his role, he strives to “make our industry safer and more efficient by educating new hands in their careers, eliminating red zone exposure, and changing the game with automation.”
Outside of AutoSep, Dustin loves spending time in the great outdoors and exploring with his “adventure team”: his wife and 3 kids.
